As one of the most trusted schools in Vasai-Virar, we believe in a holistic approach to learning. Our goal is to equip every student to be a talented individual, a respected citizen and a capable leader of the future. Holy Cross English High School, Nirmal, had humble beginnings. It began in 2000-2001, under the dynamic leadership of His Lordship, Bishop Thomas Dabre, and the initiative of Rev. Fr. Wilson Rebello. Each year, a few more students were added as each class progressed to the next year. In 2011-2012, the first batch of approximately 49 students appeared for the SSC Board Examination, achieving a 100% pass rate—a remarkable feat that set a precedent and remains unbroken up to this day. Over the years, Holy Cross English High School has earned a strong reputation in the local community for its discipline, efficiency, and academic excellence. This reputation was made possible by the vision, dedication, and efforts of Holy Cross Management. It fostered an environment where teachers could showcase their talents and work without stress, allowing them to focus on the demanding task of teaching and nurturing future generations. Now, with immense joy at completing 25 years of Holy Cross English School (State Board) in 2025, the management has decided to launch a council school under the able leadership of Bishop Thomas Dsouza. It is with immense pride and gratitude that we announce the establishment of Holy Cross International School, an institution dedicated to delivering world-class education through the Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum. This marks a significant milestone in our vision to provide learners with an academically rigorous, values-based, and globally relevant education. Our IGCSE school aims to foster an environment where curiosity is encouraged, critical thinking is cultivated, and lifelong learning becomes a way of life. We aspire to shape young minds who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged — qualities essential for success in the 21st century. This initiative is not merely the beginning of a new institution, but the continuation of a mission — to prepare students to thrive as capable, ethical, and compassionate global citizens.
